Matane, February 26, 2026 – The Centre de développement et de recherche en intelligence numérique (CDRIN) announces the appointment of Pierre Bédard as Interim General Manager. He will oversee operations and advance the organization’s strategic priorities until a permanent General Manager is appointed. In parallel, CDRIN continues to develop its operational team, advance its governance work, and prepare to launch the recruitment process for a permanent General Manager in the spring.

A leader who has known CDRIN from the beginning

Pierre Bédard brings extensive experience in managing innovation and technology transfer centres. He was CDRIN’s very first General Manager when the organization was founded, after serving for many years as Executive Director of SEREX. With a background in governance, he brings strong expertise in institutional leadership and the management of complex projects.

At CDRIN, he will serve part-time to support the team in maintaining operational continuity and preparing the organization’s next strategic directions.

A strengthened team to support the transition

Alongside this appointment, the arrival of Marie-Ève Gagnon as full-time Project Manager further strengthens coordination and operational oversight of current mandates. Her extensive experience (including seven years at Cube Noir) and her deep knowledge of innovation project management practices provide the team with solid and reliable support.CDRIN develops methods and tools for technological innovation in real-world settings, deploying and enriching them across a variety of sectors and territories. Digital creativity is the foundation and primary centre of excellence of the organization.
